Company history

On the path to success, with good teamwork and sunshine.

In 2004, proprietor Georg Stiens founded the company ‘Solartechnik Stiens’. Over the years, the number of employees has grown from 2 to over 180. These staff members work in branch offices throughout Germany to provide on-site contact with customers.
One year later, the company head office moved to its current location in the Papierfabrik district of Kaufungen.
This opened up new construction and expansion potential for us.

In the last twelve months alone, we have realised over 100 MWp on our customer’s roofs. We are particularly grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us, without which we could never have become Germany’s largest solar company.
